Privacy Policy

This is an initial draft written to close a real gap — this page didn’t exist before, even though sign-up already asks you to agree to it — and has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. Treat it as a starting point, not a finished legal document.

What we collect

Account information (email, display name) via our authentication provider; profile information you choose to provide (age range, biological sex, fitness level, goals, health conditions, supplements) used to personalize what research you see; and product usage such as which findings you bookmark, dismiss, or rate.

How we use it

Profile information drives personalization — matching research to your stated goals and filtering out findings whose studied population doesn’t match yours. We do not sell your personal information. Aggregated, de-identified usage statistics (e.g. how many users tried a given action) may be shown to other users as community context, never tied back to your identity.

Health information

Any conditions or supplements you choose to add to your profile are used solely to personalize the research shown to you. Treat this the same way you’d treat any other online account holding sensitive personal information — only share what you’re comfortable storing.

Third parties

We use third-party providers for authentication, hosting, and (where a claim names a source) resolving citations against public research databases. We don’t share your profile data with these providers beyond what’s needed for them to do that job.

Your choices

You can update or remove your goals, conditions, and supplements at any time from your Profile page. Contact us if you’d like your account deleted entirely.
